2000 the dream
Before Victory in Liverpool existed, it was a dream in Pastor Ray Belfield’s heart. Having Pastored in Wigan for a decade he was burdened for Liverpool. He shared this vision with VFC – Singapore. They agreed to send a team of church starters.
2001 the team
A team of church starters from Singapore arrived in Liverpool Jan 2001. The team comprised of 5 Singaporeans & 1 American. The leader was “Pastor J” [Ps. Ho Jia Hua]. They primarily worked in West Derby, Croxteth and the Croxteth Park areas.
2001 the interest
The activities of the team of church starters were even noticed by the local newspaper. The leader, “Pastor J”, was well known and well loved.
2002

2005 - 2007
During this transition time Gabor Csutor [bottom left] and then Dave Calland [top left] were instrumental in overseeing this challenging new church plant. Pictured are few of the lads that helped.
2007 fresh start
In June 07 Pastors Shane & Susan Comiskey assumed leadership and began rebuilding ‘Victory in Liverpool’

Big Sunday
Members, friends & well wishers supported the first ‘Big Sunday’ with Geoff Walvin & family.

Big Sunday
Dr. Doug Norwood was the guest speaker. His story of the miraculous recovery of his wife from a near fatal car accident was powerful.
2008 Sept Dinosaurs in Liverpool
A massive crowd turned out to hear John McKay talk on the enthralling subject of Dinosaurs, origins, creation & evolution at Merseyside Society for the Deaf.
